Hello everyone,
Have you enjoyed the battlefield series? I was extremely excited for Battlefield 3 and I honestly have to say that it wasn't a let down like Call of Duty was. I try and play Battlefield 3 frequently.
What about you guys?

I liked Battlefield for it's story mode, but hated the multiplayer. Hated the storyline on MW3, loved the online.
Seems like i'm in luck.

I got into the Battlefield series quite late (The original Bad Company) and I loved it. Both the campaign and multiplayer were a really enjoyable experience, especially since most people online didn't seem to expect me to cruise around corners with nothing but a knife. I also enjoyed Bad Company 2's single player, but I couldn't get into the multiplayer aspect at all.
Battlefield 3 is the opposite. When I first tried it pre-patches, I hated it. Everything felt wrong. I shot half a clip from an assault rifle into a guy and he didn't die, yet I could get four kills out of a single handgun clip. Needless to say, I quit for months. Came back, and I really got into it. I don't particularly like the custom servers aspect of it, but everything has to have a downside.
Unfortunately the biggest aspect I play games for is worthless in BF3. The story. Campaign isn't really a game, it's more of an interactive movie, being led through events with such stringent requirements that they may as well just make your character an AI, throw in some film grain and call it a war flick. I managed to suffer through ~50% before I dropped the campaign entirely.

Today I don't need to reach your deafened ears and
I don't need to try and fill your empty heart, 'cause
All I need now is the agony I see upon your face,
That's good enough for me
In the end

That's good enough for me
In the end

I've never really got into any games like this, I played COD once or twice... Didn't know what I was doing really.

I own Battlefield 3... It just happens to be in West Virginia right now...
