This may sound odd to those who have, but have you ever set and made a fire? Whether a camp-fire or a wood heater or wood stove.
For many years I had overseas backpackers stay with my family and many had never done so. In fact there was a delight for my guest to start a fire here everyday in our wood stove or wood heater.

At first I thought perhaps this may have been an unusual question to ask. It may have been a better poll question. Anyone else has or hasn't set and lit a fire before?

It depends. Would a match and an aerosol can count?
Today I don't need to reach your deafened ears and
I don't need to try and fill your empty heart, 'cause
All I need now is the agony I see upon your face,
That's good enough for me
In the end

It was fortunate your friend's parents wanted you around again.
I was once falsely accused of setting fire to a stack of newspapers in a fiends back shed. I was forever barred from darkening his parents doorway ever again.

My kids enjoyed doing it as well. It is a little bit of a skill that goes along with us.
