Hitchcock/Truffaut -- Helen G. Scott, Francois Truffaut

This book may be the big-dog of all film books in that rarely get two masters to sit down and speak to each other about the art of generating films.

I recently finished the Hunger Games Trilogy and they are my new favorite books. I found them really inspiring and entertaining. Made me think about how things are going right now and how its very possible that the future could be kind of like this. I recommend them to anyone and I'm pretty sure the movie comes out this week as well.

My favorite book has to be 1985 by George Orwell. It's one of those rare fiction titles that have a deep context and can be interpreted in a lot of ways and it was one of those titles that lingered in my mind even as I read other books.

My all time favourite book is called the The Mapmaker's Wife by Robert Whitaker. A true tale of love murder and survival.I enjoyed it so much I read it twice after a year or two.
It's about French scientists in the mid 18th century who went on a 10 year expedition to South America to measure the precise shape of the earth. One of the expeditioners marries a Peruvian woman who eventually finds her way down the Amazon to catch up with her husband.
If you get a chance take a read of it.

OMG again it depends on where I am in life. Jane Austin because she is witty and wry, Will self because he writes well and he increases my vocab. Cider with Rosie because i love lyrical prose.

Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien.

I love the peoms and songs in the story. I love the wide variety of characters. Middle Earth is almost real to me. Plus, the story is just epic.

Mine has got to be The Gospel According to Biff by Christopher Moore. I came from a Christian school that is all big on "this is evil", "you'll go to hell if you do this" and all that stuff. This book gave me a whole new view of Jesus and Christianity, in a good way.

Uhm, isn't 1985 written by Anthony Burgess? The one by George Orwell is 1984... :)

I'm supposed to read that ages ago but I haven't gotten to it yet. Haha! I have a very long reading list. Ugh.

I actually have only read first few chapters of Inheritance. Reading it as e-book is too troublesome for me, I'll just wait for the hard copy version when it comes to my country. :D

Yeah, I think I'm having eyesight problems due to reading a lot of e-books. Haha. And I think you wouldn't have to wait that long 'cause it's been released to a lot of countries already.

Hopefully. It is usually slow for releases in my country, can take a year or two. :(

Where the Red Fern Grows. I read it in the fifth grade, and, wow, it's just such a powerful book.
