Slipperiest material on the planet originates from awesome plants.
Pitcher plants make a living by sinking bugs within unique cup-shaped leaves then eating their remains. To have the bugs drop in and remain in, the plants have developed an extremely smooth material to cover their leaves, and a new artificial substance that copies it is significantly smooth.
Scientists at Harvard University have formulated an ingredient known as SLIPS (slippery liquid-infused porous surfaces) that imitate the nanostructure of pitcher plant rims, and they have carried out a really great work that SLIPS is smoother than the organic pitcher plant materials.
